Open a trade on your prop firm. The software copies it to your broker on the other side. The broker side is your real cash, where the fee recovery actually happens.

If something below is unclear, write to us at info@pfarmour.com. We answer within one working day.

  • If the prop account hits maximum drawdown, the hedge on your own broker is sized so the challenge fee is designed to come back. In Margin mode that scenario is also where the surplus is designed to land. This is not a refund from the firm, and it is not a guarantee: it depends on configuration, capital, and friction (erosion). The firm closes the evaluation and keeps the fee. The paying leg is your personal MT4 or MT5 broker, not a refund from the firm.

  • Almost never. The fee is the firm's product. When the account hits maximum drawdown, they keep it. Prop Firm Armour does not ask the firm for a refund. It sizes an opposite hedge on your own broker so that event is designed to return the fee (Scaling) or land a surplus (Margin). Configuration, capital, and erosion all move the cash result. It is not a guarantee.

  • No. Firms ban opening a long on one of their challenges and a short on another, or hedging across two of their accounts. That is a cross-account exploit on their book. Prop Firm Armour hedges on your personal broker, with your own capital, in a process that runs locally on Windows. The two accounts stay independent: no cloud relay, no shared infrastructure. This is not a copier. Read the terms of the firm you choose.

  • Both modes price the max drawdown. Scaling is designed so the fee comes back (or a thin surplus) when the account burns; surplus is meant to sit at payout, and it needs less broker capital. Margin is designed so the surplus lands on the breach, the probable scenario, and needs about double the broker deposit. Neither mode is a guarantee. Lot sizing and erosion (spread, swap, slippage, commission) move the result.

  • A prop firm hedge bot opens the opposite position on your personal MT4 or MT5 broker when you trade a prop evaluation. It does not place the challenge trades. Prop Firm Armour is that machine: local on Windows, lot sized to the challenge cost, not a copier, not a long on one firm and a short on another. A prop firm trading bot is a different product. That one fires the evaluation entries. This one does not.

  • Yes. The paying leg is your own broker. The prop account is the evaluation. Without a personal MT4 or MT5 account and capital sized to the cycle, there is nowhere for the opposite lot to sit. Hedging across two prop firm accounts is the practice firms ban. The personal account is the ordinary broker you already have.

  • A hedge copier is a reverse trade copier: opposite lot on a second account. Prop Firm Armour is that copier pointed at your personal MT4 or MT5, sized to the challenge fee. Public Prop Hedge pages describe an EA that also trades the challenge, then reverses. Public Prop Shield pages describe a same-side futures copier across Tradovate/Rithmic prop accounts plus a risk vault. Different machines. The comparison is on /blogs/prop-firm-hedge-software-compared.

The market stays a coin flip. The business no longer depends on it.
